PREVENTION – the most important part of caring for health
There is a saying: “Better to prevent than to cure.” We would add — and cheaper.
Preventive is the foundation of every responsible ownership and a healthy life for the animal. It is not a luxury, but a way to ensure a long, quality, and carefree life for our pets.
In a broader sense, prevention includes the overall living conditions of the animal: proper nutrition, adequate space, clean environment, emotional stability, and regular veterinary check-ups.
In a narrower, clinical sense, prevention means:
- vaccination against infectious diseases
- use of antiparasitic treatments to prevent infections by intestinal parasites, heartworm, fleas, ticks, and other external parasites
What do you mean by prevention?
It is important to emphasize that monthly preventive protection against fleas, ticks, and heartworm is mandatory throughout the year — even in urban areas. Especially for dogs and cats that spend time outdoors or travel outside the city.
Many diseases that were once common and deadly are now rarely seen thanks to regular prevention. Without it every infection can become serious, difficult to treat — and sometimes incurable.
Vaccination – stimulating natural protection
Vaccination is one of the most effective forms of health protection.
It is a process in which the veterinarian introduces a weakened or dead form of a virus/bacteria so that the animal’s body develops its own immunity.
In this way, when the pet actually encounters the disease, the body can respond quickly and effectively — without serious consequences.
Vaccination not only protects the individual animal but also prevents the spread of disease among other pets and in the community.
That is why we do not just recommend vaccination — we consider it mandatory, especially for puppies and kittens.
Many diseases we vaccinate against are:
- deadly
- highly contagious
- often incurable
Who are we going to vaccinate?
