Bird Boarding – A Safe Haven for Your Feathered Friend
Within the Darvin Veterinary Clinic, we offer a specially adapted bird boarding service for both short-term and long-term stays. It is suitable for a variety of bird species – from small parrots (budgies, cockatiels, rosellas) to larger exotics (amazons, greys, macaws…).
The boarding facility is located in Novi Sad, at Kaće Dejanović 12, in a quiet area of the premises where birds are kept away from noise, stress, and other animals.
Boarding Conditions
Each bird stays in a separate, safe, and clean cage, which can be brought by the owner or provided by us by agreement. Birds that normally live in pairs or groups may be housed together – with prior notice.
During the stay, birds are provided with fresh food and water regularly, trays and bowls are cleaned, and the room is under constant supervision.
Owners may bring their bird’s regular food and supplements, especially if the bird is on a specific mix or fruit diet. We can also provide food by prior arrangement.
Health Requirements
We only accept healthy birds, with no signs of infection, feather loss, lethargy, or respiratory issues.
No special documentation is required for the stay, but we reserve the right to decline boarding if we determine that the bird is not in stable condition, in order to protect other animals and staff.
Price and Boarding Terms
- Boarding price for birds is 500 RSD per night
- Food: by arrangement (owner-provided or we supply)
- Pick-up after 1 PM is charged as an additional night
- Longer stays (30+ days): arranged individually
Transport
We can organize transport of the bird to or from the boarding facility:
- Within Novi Sad: 1,500 RSD
- Outside the city – by agreement (depending on location and schedule)

This means that if the bird shows any signs of trouble (loss of appetite, weakness, behavioral changes), our expert team is immediately available to intervene.
Birds are extremely sensitive, and changes in environment often cause stress – that’s why it’s essential for them to stay somewhere with people who understand their physiology and behavior.
